43 Things: Office Space had it right. Kill the copier. My computer too.

Office Space has been making the rounds on satellite TV in recent months . . . or I'm just fortunate enough to find it when channel surfing. Today has reminded me of perhaps the best part of the movie: when Peter, Samir, and Michael take the office copier out for a drive and for a friendly game of baseball.

Today my computer has taken up the role of the Office Space copier, but due to my desire to not purchase a new laptop, it will have to miss out on the smash-and-destroy scene. Perhaps I can find a suitable body double. Either way, someday I will fulfill my goal of killing my computer.

43 Things steps up to the plate as Pluck's Feed of the Day. Surprisingly still unique - I'd expected a zillion knock-offs with added "bonus features" - 43 Things is a public way of stating your goals, checking them off the list as you accomplish them (or give up), and seeing what others want to accomplish with their lives. The name itself is not tied to 43 Folders or getting things done. At least not as far as the developers let on. My guess is that it's a combination of Douglas Adams' answer to "Life, the Universe, and Everything" and Spinal Tap's "it goes to 11."

A few goals from the site:

go on a road trip with no predetermined destination

learn Arabic

destroy my computer

Live your dreams. Anyone have a body double for my laptop that I can "borrow?"
